Now the next beast that comes along is the

 bear.  The next modern nation that comes

to prominence and maintains a presence

throughout modern history is Russia/the

Soviet Union.   The Russian Bear has been

 the national symbol of Russia since they

became a world power. 

  We all thought that Russia was relegated

 to obscurity with the downfall of the Soviet

 Union and the communist stranglehold on                                              Eastern Europe; but here in recent years, Russia is making a come back                                             as a world dominate power.  Russian President Vladimir Putin, former                                                KGB officer in the Soviet Union, is currently courting Islamic                                                         terrorist nations in the Middle East; forming treaties and alliances                                              with nation such and Iran, Syria, and Libya.  Russia, according to some                                             sources, is suspected of aiding Saddam Hussein in transporting his                                                WMD’s out of Iraq before the war.  Russia, under the leadership of                                                  Putin, is on the rise in world politics once again and seems to be siding with the Islamic world against the Western Nations.

 Daniel was already in Babylon, it was already

an Empire; the Medea-Persian Empire was

already a force in the world {in fact, Daniel

wrote this in the first year of Belshazzar,

believed to be the grandson of Nebuchadnezzar;

 and just a few years later Babylon was over-

thrown by the Medes and Persians}.  So with two

 of these empires already in the world, how could this angel say that these four, not two of the four, but all four of them would be coming into power in the future.

Yes, these beasts are Babylon, Medea-Persia, Greece, and Rome; but there is a double application indicated here.  There are four beasts who will come to power in the future,  and be in power in the “End of Days”.  Who are these four nations that Daniel saw coming to power in the “Last Days” with these beasts as the emblems or symbols of their nations?

Why is this important? How does this relate to

the United States in End Time Prophecy?

What has this got to do with the

Battle of Gog and Magog?

Just this; we are setting up the foundation for End Time events; identifying those countries, those nations, those powers that are in control of the world during the “End of Days” and how their relationship dynamics are preparing the world for these events.  When we see what nations are prophesied to be part of the “End of Days”; and how they are related to the specific prophecies of that time; we can correlate them with modern events that are taking place now and begin to see how close we really are to the “Rapture” of the Church and the coming of our Lord and Savior ~ Jesus!!

Look again at verses 34 and 35

 of Daniel chapter 2. 

³⁴ “You continued looking until a stone

 was cut out without hands, and it struck

the statue on its feet of iron and clay and crushed them.  ³⁵ “Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver and the gold were crushed all at the same time {Notice here; crushed all at the same time! “broken to pieces together” in the KJV; “were broken to pieces at the same time” NIV} and became like chaff from the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them was found. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

The point to remember is this;  We’ve

talked about all the things going on in

the United States of America today,

we’ve talked about the onslaught of demonic spirits attacking America today and how we are giving in, abortion, homosexuality, idolatry, false religions;  If God didn’t spare Israel from judgment when they were disobedient to His Word, when they wandered off into sin doing the very same things that are happening in the United States today ~ our documents are based off of the same documents that Israel had; God cannot put up with the United States of America without doing something about it!  Preachers need to stand up today and preach the Word ~ you can’t live any old way you please and still have the favor of God ~ it just doesn’t work that way! I know that’s not what people like to hear, but somebody has to say it!

Remember, we are talking in symbols, patterns, and shadows; let’s overlay this with the continental United States.

1.  This is a picture of the Tabernacle of Moses and ultimately the Temple in Jerusalem was similarly laid out.  The entrance was from the East where we see in the outer court, the Brass Altar where three fires burned continuously; proceeding west we come to the brass laver with was filled with water for ceremonial washing; next we come into the inner court and to the north was the table of shewbread, to the south was the seven lamps on top of the Menorah which were always lit and filled with oil; next we come to the Golden Altar where incense was burned every morning; the next thing we encounter going west is Veil which separates the Holy of Holies from the rest of the Tabernacle; in the Holy of Holies is the Ark of the Covenant which was covered in Gold.

Psalm 23, perhaps one of the most comforting passages of Scripture in God’s Word.  But, there is more than just comfort here for our daily lives in serving God.  What we see here is comfort for these “End of Days” as we fast approach the final days before we are taken out of this world; as we begin to enter into the valley of the shadow of death.

But, while we are protected from the Wrath of God to come, we are still in this world and the wrath of Satan against the Children of God is an ever present danger.  Even more so as we approach the “End of Days”; more and more every day, like labor pangs coming upon a woman giving birth.  They increase in both frequency and in intensity the closer the birth comes; just like this, the wrath of Satan will increase in both frequency and in intensity the closer we get to our final days before the rapture.  We will face great tribulation at the hands of Satan, either directly or indirectly through the world and the world order.

“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs. “Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.  “At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. “Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. “Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. “ But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved.

We’ve gone through the situation report in the United States of America; we’ve talked about Satan’s battle plans to destroy the only nation founded on the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God; we’ve seen the road that will lead the world into WWIII, which is the Battle of Gog and Magog.  We are about to traverse the Valley of the Shadow of Death and explore the possibilities of where the United States of America fits into this final world conflict before the Tribulation Period.

The United States of America, as everyone knows, is not mention by name in any Prophecy, nor in any Scripture.  So; what happens to America in the last days? 

As we study prophecy; or for that matter any Scripture; we can see that many things are brought out by symbols, shadows, and patterns.  Looking at these, we may not always able to come up with the exact occurrences that will take place; but often they suggest possibilities; based on modern understanding and interpretation that helps us to better understand why and how certain specific prophecies will occur.  

In other words, they suggest the possibilities of certain scenarios; based upon a modern understanding and interpretation of prophecy and the world as it is today; that further enhance our understanding of specifically stated prophecies.  We understand more today than ever before about how this modern world we live in relates to end time prophetic events and scripture.   In these, I believe we can see the United States of America in the “End of Days”.

President Harry Truman stated: our founding fathers took the Torah (five books of the Hebraic Old Testament Law), Isaiah the Prophet, and the Four Gospels and from these formed all the documents that are the basis for the moral foundation of our country; the basis of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights all stem from the Scripture.

When our founding fathers came over to this new land, they treated themselves like they were the Children of Israel crossing the Red Sea to go to the Promised Land.

Look at how many cities, towns, communities are named after places in Israel.  How many Zions are there, how many Salems, Bethlehems, Mt. Olives, Moriahs, Hebrons,  or other names associated with the Land of Israel; especially on the east coast among the original 13 colonies. 

When the Constitution was signed, there were 3 million people living in America; when the children of Israel formed their nation and crossed the Jordan River into the Promise Land, there were 3 million people.

Israel was divided between the North and the South; we were divided between the North and the South.

If we place the Brass Altar on the area around the edge of Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina; we see the three fires of the Brass Altar burning over the three states where the revival fires of the latter-day outpouring of the Holy Spirit in North America were reported to have begun.

The Brass Laver filled with the water of the Tabernacle for cleansing would set over the Mississippi River, the water way of America, the main water way of the country and the division between the outer court and the inner court.

In the inner court, the center part of the Tabernacle, we come to the center part of the country: to the south we see the menorah filled with oil sitting over Oklahoma and Texas ~ the oil states of the nation: to the north, we see the table of shewbread sitting over the "bread basket" of the United States; Kansas and Nabraska.

We next come to the Golden Altar where some 11 to 13 different spices make up the red incense burned on the hot coals of the altar: siturated over Colorado, a state with many different types of mines, including coal mines and the Colorado River that used to run red coming down through Colorado before it was dammed up and was called the "Red River" by the Spanish.

Now we see the giant veil that separates the inner court from the Holy of Holies.   This veil sets right over the "Continental Divide" that separates the continent.

As we pass through the veil, we come to the Golden Ark of the Covenant, the Mercy Seat of God; situated on the State of California that was established by the "Gold Rush"; and where the Azusa Street Holy Ghost Revival began and spread around the world featuring the Revelation of God's Mercy to the Nation.

Coincidence?  Chance?  That this is the only nation in the world that this correlation can be seen?  Maybe, maybe not. Is it possible that just as the Tabernacle and Temple were both designed to provide a place for God’s people to meet with God and a place to provide for the redemption of the nation; the United States of America was founded to be a place where God’s people could come and commune with God freely and to proclaim the redemptive plan God to the nations??

    2.Again, we look at a picture of the Tabernacle of Moses.  Around the Tabernacle were situated the different tribes of Israel and each tribe was assigned an emblem.  To the North, the main tribe was the tribe of Dan; Dan’s emblem was the Eagle.  To the East, the main tribe was the tribe of Judah, who was called the Law Giver {Psalm 60:7} and whose emblem was the Lion.  To the South, the main tribe was Reuben; Reuben’s emblem was that of a man.  To the West the main tribe was the tribe of Manasseh whose emblem was the Bull or Ox.  

Revelation 4:6_b-7 NASB  “around the throne, four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind.  ⁷ The first creaturewas like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creaturewas like a flying eagle.

Now, let’s have a look at our Capital Mall in Washington  D.C.:

Once again, Coincidence? Chance? 

I just wanted to show you that America is linked with Israel.  We have a spiritual link, a symbolic link, a pattern link. There are more parallels, but we’re not going to get into them all right now; we’ll be mentioning these again as we progress in our study of the “End of Days” and everything that is related to us today.

Here’s a major End of Days Prophecy from the Book of Daniel.  I think most people are familiar with this prophecy, but maybe we can explore some aspects of this prophecy we didn’t see before.

These are important.  These nations we’re going to see here in Daniels prophecy are among the nations that will be involved in the War of Gog and Magog; leading the world into the Valley of the Shadow of Death.

The Prophecies of Daniel:

King Nebuchadnezzar vision: Daniel 2:31-33 

“You, O king, were looking and behold, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome.  ³² “The head of that statue was made of fine gold, its breast and its arms of silver, its belly and its thighs of bronze,  ³³ its legs of iron, its feet partly of iron and partly of clay.

Daniel continues explaining the vision and as we look at this, we can see the traditional interpretation of this prophecy.

And 38b-43

You are the head of gold. The Babylonian Empire was the head of Gold.

^{DA 2:39} “After you there will arise another kingdom inferior to you, then another third kingdom of bronze, which will rule over all the earth.

These are the Medea-Persian and Greek Empires.

^{DA 2:40} “Then there will be a  fourth kingdom as strong as iron; inasmuch as iron crushes and shatters all things, so, like iron that breaks in pieces, it will crush and break all these in pieces.

This refers to the Roman Empire

⁴¹ “In that you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, it will be a divided kingdom; but it will have in it the toughness of iron, inasmuch as you saw the iron mixed with  common clay.

⁴² “As the toes of the feetwere partly of iron and partly of pottery, so some of the kingdom will be strong and part of it will be brittle.  ⁴³ “And in that you saw the iron mixed with  common clay, they will combine with one another  in the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, even as iron does not combine with pottery.

As we look at the feet and toes, we see the beginning of the end times empires coming together in the feet and culminating in the toes.

Notice that there are two legs of iron.  The Roman Empire split and was divided into two empires; the East and the West.

Daniel tells us that the feet are iron and common clay; the Amplified Bible calls it miry/earthen clay;  Common clay is workable, malleable, able to work around other things.  So what we have approaching the “End of Days” is the Iron and Clay working around each other; mingling with each other ~ then we come to the end of the feet, the beginning of the toes on the foot and the toes themselves and what do we have?  Not earthen clay, but pottery; baked clay; ceramic clay that has been fired in the furnace;  Suddenly Christianity and Islam are at a point of confrontation!  Miry clay, earthen clay can be molded to co-exist with the Iron, but baked potters clay, ceramic that has been through the fire becomes more hardened and is not malleable.

For years in the modern times, we have co-existed with Islam in the world and never even gave it a second thought.  Christianity and Democracy simply mingled with Islam and Sharia Law and allowed life to go on. We were mingling together, but with no real cohesiveness; but as earthen clay, common clay, miry clay can mold itself around something, Christianity and Democracy just molded around Islam and Sharia Law. 

We just went through the interpretation of who these empires were.

·    Babylon is today ~ Iraq; is Iraq in the news today?  Does Iraq play an important part in the Middle East politics of today?  Of course it does!!  Iraq is on the rise as an influential power, after all it is one of the leading oil producing nations in the world.  Once the oil fields are activated and operating at 100%, they will certainly be a major power in the region, if not the world.

·    Medea-Persia is today called Iran {which is Persia}, Pakistan, and Afghanistan; are these countries in the news today?  Is there a reason to see Iran as a powerful influence in the world?  Of course there is!  Iran is one of the main supporters of terrorism in the world and their leaders have publicly promoted the destruction of Israel, the destruction of the United States, and radical policies to bring on the advent of their Messiah ~ the Mahdi.

·    The original Greek Empire is not only Greece, but included Macedonia {part of the former Soviet Union satellite Yugoslavia}, parts of other former Soviet Union satellites {Kosovo, Serbia, Bulgaria},  and goes into the edge of Turkey. Have these countries been in the news lately?  Have we heard of Russia beginning to make inroads back into this area? 

·    Finally there is Rome; the Western Roman Empire centered in Italy.  What do we have here?  First, we have the Vatican ~ the center of the Roman Catholic Church; probably the single most powerful religious leader in the world. Have you ever heard of “The Club of Rome”?  While not located in Rome, it attempts to encompass the known world, just as the Roman Empire did.  Here’s what they say about themselves:   “The Club of Rome is a global think tank and centre of innovation and initiative.
As a non-profit, non governmental organization (NGO), it brings together scientists, economists, businessmen, international high civil servants, heads of state and former heads of state from all five continents who are convinced that the future of humankind is not determined once and for all and that each human being can contribute to the improvement of our societies”.  

So we can see these “Kingdoms”, these “Empires”; beginning to come back into existence in the modern world today and certainly will be operating in the time of the last days empire of the Anti-Christ. In fact, most probably, all of these nations will be united under the kingdom of the Anti-Christ or at least allied with the kingdom of the Anti-Christ; which is why they are all destroyed together, at the

 same time when Jesus returns.

See how the “Law of Double Application” is working in this prophecy?  See how all these kingdoms can be crushed all at the same time, together with the Anti-Christ empire when Jesus comes back and establishes His Kingdom and reigns for a thousand years here on this earth!!!

Many of these nations in the prophecies of Daniel are the same nations that are involved in the War of Gog and Magog. 

So if Daniel’s prophecies tell us about empires or kingdoms in the last days; could Daniel have seen America as a last day empire? If these other empires are going to reform, here we are as one of the greatest nations on earth; where is the United States in these last day empires?  How come we’re not somewhere in the Bible?  If we are, we are not mentioned directly in prophecy; we are instead alluded to symbolically; because God speaks prophetically through symbolism.

The next prophetic vision; Daniel and the four beast rising out of the sea.  Reading Daniel chapter 7, starting with verse 2, we’ll look at this first in the traditional interpretation; which is true and correct!

Daniel Chapter 7:2-7 NASB

Daniel said, “I was looking in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea. The “great sea” refers directly to the Mediterranean Sea; but often in prophecy, sea refers to the sea of mankind. Since these represent nations in

 the traditional interpretation, I believe that it means that these nations arise out of the area of the Mediterranean Sea;

³ “And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another.  ⁴ “The firstwas like a lion and had the wings of an eagle. I kept looking until its wings were plucked, and it was lifted up from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man; a human heart also was given to it. The lion with an eagle’s wings symbolizes the Babylonian empire.  Winged lions are recorded as guarding the Palace of Babylon and the winged lion became the symbol of Babylon.  The rest of v. 4 perhaps reflects the humbling of Nebuchadnezzar, as recorded in ch. 4 of Daniel where Nebuchadnezzar was out of his mind and lived in the field like a wild animal because of his pride and arrogance, until God restored him to his throne; humbled and submitted to God.

⁵ “And behold, another beast, a second one, resembling a bear. And it was raised up on one side, and three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and thus they said to it, ‘Arise, devour much meat!’ The bear, “raised up on one of its sides,” refers to the superior status of the Persians in the Medea-Persian alliance. The three ribs may represent its three principal conquests: Lydia (546 B.C.), Babylon (539) and Egypt (525).  The reason that a bear was used to represent the Medea-Persian empire was because some of the largest bears in the world were known to be in Persia at that time.

 ⁶ “After this I kept looking, and behold, another one, like a leopard, which had on its back four wings of a bird; the beast also had four heads, and dominion was given to it.  The leopard with four wings represents the speedy conquests of Alexander the Great (334–330), and the four heads correspond to the four main divisions into which his empire was divided after his untimely death in 323:

⁷ “After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. The fourth beast, with its irresistible power and surpassing all its predecessors; a non-descriptive beast, Daniel couldn’t even describe what it looked like; points to the Roman empire.

“While I was contemplating the horns, behold,  another horn, a little one, came

 up among them, and three of the first horns were pulled out by the roots before it; and behold, this horn possessed eyes like the eyes of a man and a mouth

 uttering greatboasts.

Here we have the Anti-Christ rising up out of these ten kingdoms and taking over three of them.  Most scholars say that the three kingdoms overthrown by the Anti-Christ are: Egypt, Libya, and Ethiopia as predicted in Daniel Chapter 11.

“As for me, Daniel, my spirit was distressed within me, and the visions in my mind kept alarming me.  ¹⁶ “I approached one of those who were standing by and began asking him the exact meaning of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things:  ¹⁷ ‘These great beasts, which are four in number, are four kings who will arise from the earth.”

Daniel saw the interpretation of this vision as it related to the vision of

the image and the kingdoms that will

follow the Babylonian Empire in the world order of things.  There was

nothing about this to trouble Daniel, he

wasn’t troubled before; yet here he is, his spirit was distressed within him and he was alarmed by what he saw.

As we look at verse 11; we see that the Anti-Christ and his kingdom, represented by the little horn that was speaking blasphemous words, is slain and cast into the fire. 

Just as the image in Daniel 2 suggest that these nations will be reformed and be in existence when Messiah comes back; so these beasts suggest nations that will be in existence when Messiah comes back.  However, in the traditional interpretation, the wings of the lion being plucked of and becoming a man; represented the humbling of Nebuchadnezzar.  Nebuchadnezzar is dead, he’s not coming back!  So, there has to be something else going on here, there has to be some other nations represented here.  Here’s what I see based on a modern understanding and knowledge of the world today.

There has to be a kingdom in the last days whose emblem is a lion; whose seal is a lion.  There is a nation today whose emblem is a lion; a nation whose symbol has been the lion since Richard the Lionhearted.  That nation is the United Kingdom, Great Britain ~ England.  England is one of the major supporters of Israel and played a critical part in the establishing of Israel as a nation and supporting Israel in recent years.  I believe that the Lion is England!

This prophecy says the lion will have two wings of an eagle.  The two wings of an eagle are plucked off of its body; and it is given the heart of a man, a human heart, not an animal; uncaring and unconcerned, but compassionate and caring heart of a man; and made to stand on it’s own two feet. 

Everyone should know, that the nation whose emblem is an eagle with two wings; that came out of the Lion of England and became a nation standing on it’s own two feet; becoming the most compassionate and caring nation in the world; is the United States of America!   

The four heads of the leopard could represent the four Reichs; the four empires or realms of Germany.

The Third Reich (from 1933 to 1945), Nazi Germany, was under Hitler’s control. He called it the Third Reich because he thought that under his leadership Germany could reunite the old Holy Roman Empire, bringing Germany back to its glorious days.   Under Nazism ~ the National Socialism Party; he united Germany.  This Reich was terminated with the fall of Germany at the end of World War II. 

The Fourth Reich ??  Germany is presently undergoing a process of rebuilding their superpower status.  Now that Germany has been reunited with their Eastern half, they are once more seemly seeking after the German Empire.  Their power and influence world wide has increased dramatically in the last few years and they are a driving force behind the European Union {possibly a re-establishment of the Roman Empire???}.  There are many scholars who believe that Germany is poised to begin their Fourth Reich.

Let’s go to Revelation 13:1-2 NASB:

And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore.

Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names.  ² And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.
